Healthcare is a cornerstone of community well-being. At Imole Network Foundation, we are committed to ensuring that even the most rural communities have access to safe, functional, and dignified healthcare facilities. Our renovation of the Primary Health Care Centre in Isuada, Owo, is a reflection of this mission in action.
Before our intervention, the Primary Health Care Centre in Isuada was in a dire state—damaged roofing, poor sanitation, lack of medical furniture, and crumbling infrastructure made it difficult for healthcare workers to operate and discouraged patients from seeking care.
Understanding the urgency of the situation, our team mobilized resources and collaborated with local stakeholders to restore the facility into a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for both healthcare providers and patients.
The renovation included:
Complete re-roofing and structural repairs to ensure safety and durability
Painting and tiling of treatment rooms and waiting areas
Provision of hospital beds, delivery tables, and basic medical equipment
Installation of clean water supply and improved waste disposal systems
Enhanced lighting, fans, and windows for better ventilation and comfort
This project was dedicated to the advancement of rural healthcare and the dignity of every individual who seeks treatment. By restoring this facility, we aim to reduce preventable illnesses and maternal complications, and ensure that the people of Isuada can access care with confidence.
Since the renovation, clinic attendance has increased significantly, and healthcare workers now operate in a more functional and morale-boosting environment. The community has expressed deep gratitude for the transformation, calling it a ‘rebirth of hope.’
This health centre now stands as a renewed sanctuary of healing and a symbol of what collective compassion and purposeful action can achieve.
